We are in the process of establishing a not-for-profit legal entity which we hope to have in place in 2027. This will have a fully functioning board. If you’re interested in being involved as a board member please let us know and we will keep you updated on progress.
In the meantime the IAKS UK and Ireland branch is being guided by a working group which brings together voices from architecture, operators, venue owners and consultants.
These are:

Shaun joined Lee Valley Regional Park Authority as Chief Executive in 1997. During this time, he has created a dynamic and award winning organisation that both delivers its core remit and also works with partners to ensure that the 4000 hectare Regional Park adds value to the bigger social and economic agendas in the communities it serves in London, Essex and Hertfordshire. He was a key player during the bid process for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and now leads the Authority’s work on the three thriving legacy venues we own.
He has spent his career in the leisure industry both in the public and private sector. Shaun’s particular areas of experience cover sports venues’ design, facilities management, and parks management and activation.
He was a member of the UK Government’s Rio 2016 Advisory Panel and spent time in Rio advising the City, State and Federal Governments on sporting legacy.
